Summer Childrens Festival coming to Chesterfield

Families who live in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas will have another option for entertainment this summer. This is because the town will be hosting a brand-new festival for youngsters.

Called the Chesterfield Children’s Festival, it is the brainchild of the local arts charity Junction Arts. It is set to feature a mix of arts and crafts workshops, dance, storytelling and live theatrical and music performances. Better yet, it will be entirely free for people to attend. The idea behind the festival is to create an event that is a celebration of the imagination and joy of children.

The festival will be a two-day event and the chosen venue for it is Queen’s Park. Places in Chesterfield that provide Logo Design services can help the organisers of new events like this festival to come up with a memorable brand for them.

Among the activities that Junction Arts has already confirmed for the event are a brass band playing Disney songs, face painting, a circus, live comedy, a gaming zone and something called a ‘silent disco tour’. More will be announced later, though.

Jemma Burton from the charity told Chesterfield News that:
“We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Chesterfield Children’s Festival, a weekend that’s all about fun with live performances and lots of opportunities to get creative.”

The Chesterfield Children’s Festival will take place over 29th and 30th July.
