Camilla Dallerup, one of the professional dancers from the BBC show, will be grabbing time off from her dance duties to take on the role of the Fairy Godmother, in the Christmas production of Cinderella by the Pomegranate Theatre.
She stated that she was really looking forward to the blend of dancing and festive sparkle that the show will offer.
Alongside Dallerup, Dean Horner and Oliver Gray will be playing the Ugly Sisters, and the two actors have visited a number of locations in the area – including Chesterfield Bowl, Casa Hotel and Whittington Primary School – to promote the show to residents.
They also attended Chesterfield Library, to read Cinderella to the children and take part in some unusual festive activities – including decorating a large pair of bloomers.
Staff member Katy Coysh told the Derbyshire Times that:
“The children loved it and after their storytime they got busy colouring the bloomers which we shall be putting up very soon!”
In addition to this, the organisers will have the option of using promotional poster printing in Chesterfield and the Brampton area to showcase the stars and the production.
The production runs from early December until 4th January, with ticket prices starting at £8.
