A proposal to build nearly 150 brand new homes at a site in Chesterfield has moved one step nearer to being realised, with the local council’s planning committee giving its approval.
This committee opted to unanimously approve the planning application that was submitted by Woodall Homes Ltd. It would see the company, which is based within Chesterfield; construct a total of 144 homes at the chosen site. That is Tapton Business Park, which is in Brimington Road, and it would mean that all of the buildings currently standing there will be knocked down.
The planned new development would consist of 83 houses and 61 flats, with 20 of the latter being situated above garages and having space for commercial use on the ground floor. Developers often look to brochure printing outlets in Chesterfield when they need Brochures with colour pictures of their new houses and flats.
A sticking point with the application had appeared to be the council’s desire for Woodall to put £1.2 million towards building a bridge across the River Rother for walkers and cyclists. Woodall stated that this was impossible, although the planning committee opted to wave through the Plans anyway.
The next stage in the proceedings will be an inquiry involving local people, to get their opinions about the project. This has been earmarked to take place during September.Get a Free Quote for Plans Get a Free Quote for Brochures
