Popular charity race returns to Chesterfield

The people behind a popular annual race in Chesterfield that doubles as a fundraiser for charity have confirmed that it will be taking place again in 2025.

Over the years, the Chesterfield 10K has become something of a fixture in the town. It is a sponsored event that sees those taking part run along a route that takes them past many of the landmarks and beauty spots that Chesterfield has to offer. The 10K provides residents with an opportunity to keep in shape, while also helping a number of local charities.

The partner charities that will benefit from the 2025 event are Cavendish Cancer Care, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Ashgate Hospice. Since the first year it was held, the Chesterfield 10K has generated more than £230,000 for charities in the area.

Redbrik Foundation has confirmed that it will serve as its title partner once again, but the route and date for the event have been changed slightly. It will take place during the spring next year, instead of summer, and has been given a more central route.

This will see runners begin and end at Queens Park and run past the crooked spire. When it comes to advertising charity events like this one, giveaway Promotional Products from shops in Chesterfield is one potential option.

The Chesterfield 10K for 2025 is scheduled to be held on 11 May.
