The building in question is situated in Holywell Street and used to be occupied by the furniture store called Eyres. It closed its doors for good more than two years ago and the building has been empty ever since. It is now in a somewhat neglected condition, but an application has been submitted to bring it back into use.
This application would see it converted into a blend of housing and retail units. The latter would be based at the ground floor, while the upper floors would become flats. In total, the Plans are for 10 small shopping units and 20 flats, which would be a mix of two- and one-bedroom facilities.
Brochure printing from shops in Chesterfield can be useful to local property developers. It can provide them with materials for showcasing the newest places that they have for sale or rent.
According to a local source, a statement included with the application says that:
“The new changes will include new ground floor windows and doors for the commercial units. The new windows will be selected to match and respect the existing style and street scene.”
