The Five Pits Trail in Derbyshire was recently hailed as one of the top cycling trails in the country by the Guardian and Observer newspaper groups, in association with the charity, Sustrans. This cycling trail covers a vast area, including Tibshelf Ponds and Grassmoor Country Park.
The trail is popular with both locals and tourists, and thanks to the involvement of Derbyshire County Council, the Five Pits Trail is well-frequented by visitors. Derbyshire County Council has produced a leaflet that gives details of the various routes that can be walked or cycled as part of the Five Pits Trail. Leaflets like this are an effective way of communicating directions or information about particular parts of outdoor trails as they are compact and portable. Companies offering flyer printing in Chesterfield and the wider Derbyshire area often help local authorities and organisations to Print Flyers and leaflets.
As well as promoting the Five Pits Trail, Derbyshire County Council has helped the area to undergo a large-scale regeneration project, planting trees and resurfacing the more neglected parts of the trial.
A local Councillor commented on the fact that the trail had gained national recognition, saying:
“This is great news for The Five Pits trail… Derbyshire has some of the most spectacular countryside on offer and with more than 200 miles of trails like this one across the county; it's also a haven for cyclists."
