This year’s festival is set to feature two special guests, in the form of Kids Against Plastic founders Ella and Amy Meek. The sisters have won a Pride of Britain award for their campaign and have also given a number of TED talks that have helped to spread the word about it to a global audience of youngsters, schools, and companies.
The idea behind the Plastic Free Festival is to help those in the town who want to cut back on the amount of single-use plastic they use. It features stalls filled with products that contain no plastic and recycling and upcycling classes, as well as live music and plenty of drinks and food.

This event is scheduled to be held on June 12, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. New Square marketplace will serve as the venue.
