This popular annual event will once more see Derbyshire County Cricket Club take on Yorkshire in two separate matches. The festival opens with the County Championship contest that lasts for four days, and then continues with the one-day Vitality Blast T20 game. The sponsors for the 2024 festival are set to be BRM Solicitors, a local company based at Saltergate in the town.
The venue for the event will once more be Queens Park, and it will undoubtedly be a high point of the season for cricket fans. The organisers can use poster printing outlets in Chesterfield to advertise it nearer the time to ensure good attendances.
Derbyshire Commercial Manager Jimmy Drew told Chesterfield News that:
“Chesterfield has a really good opportunity to capitalise on the great things that are taking place in the town and the surrounding area as well.”
Those who wish to watch the cricket at this festival will be able to buy a Festival Pass for £49 that provides them with access to the entire five-day event.
Chesterfield Festival of Cricket will take place from 30th June to 7th July.
