Aspiring pop singers who live in Chesterfield will have the chance to make their dreams reality later this month, as the town plays host to auditions for the television talent show The X Factor.
Auditions will be taking place at Vicar Lane Shopping Centre, between 11am and 5pm, with the empty unit located directly across from the Pound Shop set to serve as the venue.
The auditions seem sure to attract huge numbers of hopeful young people living in the local area, as the television show is one of the most popular in the country and has kick-started careers in the entertainment industry for the likes of One Direction, Little Mix and Olly Murs during its run.
For that reason, those who have ambitions of following in their footsteps are being encouraged to get there early on the day, if they want to be certain of securing a place. These are set to be awarded on a first come first served basis.
Should the talent of the auditionees catch the eyes – and ears – of the judges, they will have a shot at the national auditions to be held in London during the summer.
The auditions for The X Factor will hit Chesterfield on 8th February and places offering poster printing are likely to be used to help promote them around the town.
