The centre is the brainchild of Talgo, a firm that is based in Spain, and it made the official announcement that it was going ahead with the project during a recent ceremony in Barrow Hill Roundhouse. This site will be the location for the centre, which the company is stating will provide jobs for 190 people. In addition to this, it is planning to make Chesterfield its main UK base, bringing further job opportunities.
Chesterfield Borough Council is teaming up with Talgo on the development of the centre and it has set a target for 1,800 young people to be given training at it within its first decade. Digital Business Cards created by nearby Print shops are often used by those running cutting edge centres like this.
At the ceremony, Carlos de Palacio from Talgo presented the town with a state-of-the-art passenger rail carriage created by the company. He went on to say:
“This is the beginning. This shows our commitment to all our Plans in Britain. It’s great to be a part of the history of railways of your country.”
It is hoped that the centre can open by 2023.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Plans Get a Free Quote for Print
