This project has been given the name Revitalising the Heart of Chesterfield by the borough council and the first stage of it will see street furniture, seats, new paving stones and festoon lighting added to Packers Row. The plan is that the finished work should have a similar overall look to that undertaken at Elder Way during 2021, but this is only the initial phase of the project.
Other areas of the town centre that are set to be regenerated include Burlington Street, Rykneld Square, Corporation Street, New Square and Market Place. The council is in the process of creating in-depth images showing what these areas will look like when the work is done.
Graphic design companies in Chesterfield can be a big help to the council when it comes to actually producing those images so that members of the public can take a look at them.
Speaking to Chesterfield News, Kate Sarvent from the council said:
“It is fantastic to see work begin in our town centre and I hope it will demonstrate our ambitions for the wider Revitalising the Heart of Chesterfield project.”
She then added that the builders were collaborating with the council to ensure minimal disruption.
