Chesterfield Fun Run scheduled to return

The Fun Run that Forms part of the annual Chesterfield 10K event will be keeping the same sponsor for another year, with a local taxi firm opting to retain the role.

This run will again be sponsored by Veezu, the company that used to go by the name City Taxis. It is a 1K run that is open to people of all ages, with Queens Park serving as the course. It is held on the same day as the Chesterfield 10K race, sponsored by Redbrik Foundation, and takes place not long after it.

These events mark the start of spring, and Chesterfield graphic design outlets can help to promote them through the creation of Posters.

In addition to lending its name and support to the Fun Run, Veezu will also supply an electric car to serve as the 10K lead vehicle. Speaking to Chesterfield News, its business development director Paul Gosney said that the firm was happy to continue its sponsorship for another year.

He added:
“We want to raise its profile and benefit the affiliated charities. You see so many inspirational people taking to the course with the aim of helping worthy charities and the incredible work they do.”

The charities benefiting this year include Cavendish Cancer Care and Ashgate Hospice. The runs are to be held on Sunday, 24 March.
