Several eye-catching Posters have been displayed around Chesterfield over the past few weeks in an attempt to drum up support for a charity football match which takes place tomorrow.
Glapwell Football Club, which is based in the area, hosts a game every year, and has raised more than £100,000 for a number of local charities. The teams that play in the match are usually made up of local celebrities and ex-professional football players, and this year is no exception. Confirmed players include Matt Lapinkas of Dancing on Ice fame and Emmerdale's Danny Miller.
There is an extra edge of excitement to the charity game this year, as the celebrities beat the sportsmen 6-1 in 2012’s contest, so the pressure is well and truly on.
The Posters advertising the game have been produced using full colour printing and Chesterfield FC is working with Glapwell to build further excitement among its own sizable fan-base.
Events like this are often promoted using poster printing and Chesterfield-based printing companies usually get involved with producing the necessary promotional collateral.
As well as the match itself, the day promises to deliver fun for the whole family, with opportunities for sports fans to meet the players for photographs. There will also be food vendors on site.
The game kicks off tomorrow at 3:00pm. Tickets are still available from Chesterfield Football Club's Superstore. There will also be tickets available at the gate tomorrow but a large crowd is expected so fans are advised to get there early.
