A total of 33 community groups and companies in the town are nominated across the various categories for the awards. The Love Chesterfield Awards is a new event that has been created by putting together the Food & Drink and High Street awards ceremonies. It will honour start-ups and established retail and hospitality firms, as well as projects that are designed to improve the town.
Among the companies that have made it onto the list in the Regeneration category are Northern Gateway and Chesterfield Waterside. The category Restaurant of the Year includes Lombardi’s and Chesters, while the Rose & Crown and the Market Pub are among the Pub/Bar of the Year nominees.
When outlets are recognised in prestigious local awards like these, they sometimes look to use Print shops to get new Signs that advertise the fact.
All of the nominations for these awards came via voting by people living in the town and the Destination Chesterfield Chair, Peter Swallow, told Chesterfield News that:
“We are delighted to be hosting our first in-person awards since the pandemic hit and celebrating Chesterfield’s heroic businesses, people and projects in person once more.”
The ceremony will take place on 20th October, with Winding Wheel Theatre serving as the venue.
