Business park in Chesterfield could be replaced by homes

A business park that is situated within Chesterfield could be set for demolition so that it can be replaced by a brand new housing development, if the council gives the proposals the green light.

Tapton Business Park is located off Brimington Road, Chesterfield; a range of commercial and industrial businesses are currently headquartered within the area. However, Woodall Homes is hoping to get the nod to demolish the 2.59-hectare park and use the vacant land for a new housing scheme that will consist of a total of 145 flats and houses.

There would be 61 flats, 84 houses and 10 maisonettes in the proposed development. The majority of the houses would be sizeable ones of four-plus bedrooms, while the flats would be divided almost equally between one and two-bedroom properties.

Brochure printing provided by outlets in Chesterfield can be extremely useful to housing developers when they need glossy Brochures with colour photos of their newest properties.

If Woodall Homes wins approval for its Plans, it would be a further step forward in the ongoing regeneration of that part of Chesterfield. In addition to the housing, the application that it has submitted says that new links between the scheme and the Trans Pennine Trail for both cyclists and walkers will be created.

Planning officers for the council will now mull over the Plans before announcing a decision.
