Young American musician has Camden date
The singer/songwriter, Livingston, is about to embark on a tour, and is due to make an appearance in Camden at the end of January.
This 22-year-old musical artist and producer hails from Denton Texas, but grew up in a suburb of Dallas. His youthful years were difficult, due to bullying that induced extreme anxiety. In order to escape the knock-on isolation the teenager entered a sonic world where the focus was on developing his talent.
He first purchased a MIDI keyboard, and initially began songwriting, then producing. His music combines intimate storytelling with thoughtful melodies in complex arrangements, often embodying multiple layers of sound.
Livingston's influences are varied notably, Odesza, Macklemore, Jon Bellion and composers such as John Powell and Hans Zimmer. In 2019 he signed a record contract with Elektra Records, releasing an apocryphal single 'Fairytale'.
The singer/songwriter recently regained his independence from Elektra, and has been endeavouring to redefine himself song by song. This includes building up momentum across social media, streaming, as well as through fan converts. His debut album 'A Hometown Odyssey' came out last March.
