What's Happening in London - Camden, England…

Camden venue to welcome indie rocker

The English singer-songwriter Miles Kane is embarking on a solo tour, and is due to play Camden in early February.

This NME award-winner and Last Shadow Puppets co-frontman hails from Birkenhead. He was previously a member of The Little Flames, as well as lead vocalist and guitarist with The Rascals. The latter subsequently broke up in 2009.

Kane is presently following a solo path, although he remains a committed member of the Last Shadow Puppets. His debut album 'Colour of the Trap' came out in May 2011. His cousins Ian and James Skelly were original members of The Coral, whose music his sound has often been compared to.

Kane’s most recent album 'One Man Band' was largely written by him, notably the track 'Ransom'. It is guitar-based, with catchy hooks and big anthems. He also collaborated on it with Tom Ogden from the Blossoms and Keir Shudall out of Circa Waves, as well as Andy Burrows and his regular writing partner Jamie Biles.

The album was produced by James Skelly and released on Modern Sky Records last August.

Tickets cost £32.50 and may be subject to a booking fee. Print shops can prove useful when it comes to the promotion of a concert or other musical event.

Miles Kane's gig has a start time of 6.00pm on Saturday 10 February at Electric Ballroom, Camden.
