What's Happening in London - Camden, England…

Camden to welcome Swedish rockers

Camden Town’s venerable venue The Underworld will play host to Thundermother, an all-girl hard rock band from Sweden.

Described by critics as performing a more sophisticated version of the sounds produced by rock maestros Motorhead and AC/DC, the four piece was founded 11 years ago by Filippa Nässil. The band leader teamed up with Giorgia Carteri on guitar and began forming Thundermother.

Thundermother are known for playing rock ballads, blues numbers, and party anthems with a ‘70s-style groove at both national concerts and cross-continent tours around the world. Venues hosting live music events will often use professional flyer printing services to create plush leaflets to distribute to gig-goers, encouraging them to attend future shows of similar artists.

Those attending the upcoming gig will likely hear tracks from the Swedish band’s album releases “Rock 'n' Roll Disaster” and “Road Fever”, and last year’s LP “Heat Wave”. The band’s recent recordings have enjoyed the expertise of the renowned Danish producer and guitarist Soren Andersen, who has previously worked with Dave Mustaine, Mike Tramp and Glenn Hughes. In a new move, however, all members of Thundermother have contributed to the latest songs created.

Thundermother will play The Underworld based at 174 Camden High Street in London on Tuesday, September 28. Doors will open for the event at 7:00 pm and tickets are priced at £16.50 per person.
