What's Happening in London - Camden, England…

Camden to host George Harrison tribute gig

One of the best tribute bands based in North London will be playing a one-off gig at a venue in Camden next month to pay respects to former Beatles member George Harrison on his birthday.

The Trembling Wilburys are the premier tribute band for the Traveling Wilburys, the all-star group that Harrison put together back in the late 1980s. Alongside the Beatles guitarist, this group featured Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty and released two very successful albums at the end of that decade.

The Trembling Wilburys have built a reputation as the finest performers of those songs and they will be playing in the Camden Club to mark what would have been Harrison’s 80th birthday. The musician died of cancer back in 2001.

When venues and performers are creating promotional posters for events like this, places in Camden that provide logo design services can help with the overall look of them.

Speaking to Ham & High about this gig, David Stark, who is the manager and drummer for the band, said that he had met Harrison during the 1960s, adding:

“We are delighted to be playing this special show in his honour and look forward to an amazing evening of classic songs with very special memories.”

The concert will take place on 26th February and feature Wilburys, Beatles and solo Harrison tunes.
