Camden prepares to host musical innovator
Greek singer/songwriter, Marina Satti, is embarking on a tour and is due to play Camden in mid-October.
As the daughter of Sudanese and Cretan parents, she grew up with cultural diversity. This had a fundamental influence on the course of her musical evolution, fostering her artistic multicultural leanings.
Marina received a classical education in piano and singing, not to mention, theatre, architecture and jazz music. She was a member of the European Jazz Orchestra (EBU), which performed around Europe, but also at the John F. Kennedy Center with the World Jazz Nonet.
2011 saw her graduate from Berklee, developing a distinctive musical style, bringing together Greek, Balkan, Arabic, and Middle Eastern elements. She has appeared in more than 20 countries, collaborated with other popular artists and is the founder/artistic director of Fones, a polyphonic group.
In 2016 Marina's single 'Kounec' achieved 23 million YouTube views, whilst 'Mantissa', which came out the following year, topped the charts in Bulgaria and Greece. She was the first Greek act to sing on the KEXP Show.
Tickets cost £30.00 and may be subject to a transaction fee. Poster printing can be an effective option for those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event.
Marina Satti's gig has a starting time of 7.00 pm on Tuesday 15th October at the Electric Ballroom, Camden.
