What's Happening in London - Camden, England…

Aussie music legends final tour includes Camden stop

Long-running Australian band Midnight Oil have added a new UK gig to their current tour, with the band set to perform at a venue in Camden later this year.

The band had a hit in the UK back in the late-1980s with the song ‘Beds are Burning’, but in their homeland of Australia they have enjoyed a particularly long and successful career. Their current tour, called ‘Resist’, started there but will bring them to the UK by the summer, with one of the concerts set to be at the Camden Roundhouse.

Graphic design outlets in Camden and other parts of London can help with the creation of posters for upcoming gigs like this, making sure that they are dynamic and colourful enough to grab attention.

Midnight Oil first got together towards the end of the 1970s and then opted to take a break to pursue solo careers in 2002. They got back together again six years ago and have played to large crowds since, but this current tour is widely rumoured to be their farewell.

The press release that they issued ahead of the tour made it clear that it would be their last, but did not rule out the possibility that they would make further albums in the future.

Midnight Oil will be at Camden Roundhouse on July 9.
