American garage rocker to play Camden

The singer-songwriter Ty Segall is on tour and is due to make an appearance, supported by Earth Tongue in Camden at the end of June.

He was at the forefront of the psych-orientated garage rock movement that emerged in California around the 2000s. A solo artist, with a catalogue that is diverse as well as prolific. He is sometimes accompanied by his own band.

Ty has released numerous records since departing the Epsilons, cutting a self-titled debut solo album in 2008. His sound has varied over the years. Firm melodic structures and intense infectiousness are the constants in a developing discography.

2016's 'Emotional Mugger' is raw whilst 2013's 'Sleeper' is more refined. He can produce well-focused single-handed efforts such as 2009's 'Lemons'. There are also rambling and eclectic records with a host of contributors, notably 2018's 'Freedom's Goblin'.

Ty's most recent album consists of an elastic group of tracks titled 'Three Bells' which came out through 'Drag City'. A 15-song compilation that sets us is a journey beyond the music into self-analysis, tirelessly testing the boundaries in both his playing and writing.

Tickets cost £27 inclusive of a restoration levy. Stationery printers can assist in the preparations for a future concert or musical event.

Ty Segall's gig has a starting time of 7.30 pm on Friday 28th June, at The Roundhouse, Camden.
