Line-up announced for RTS Cambridge Convention

It has now been confirmed by the Royal Television Society (RTS) that its Cambridge Convention for 2021 will be hosted as normal, alongside initial details about the line-up of speakers.

This event is held every two years, but there were concerns that it would either be cancelled or held as a virtual event this year due to Covid-19. However, those worries have now been dispelled, with King’s College Cambridge set to serve as the venue for the 2021 convention and Dana Strong – the CEO of the Sky Group – confirmed as its keynote speaker.

This will be the first big speech she has given in Europe since taking on that role and she will be joined by other prominent industry names. They will include the BBC Director General Tim Davie, and former Director General and New York Times Company CEO Mark Thompson.

Logo Design services are sometimes used to help with the branding of prestige industry events like this convention. The theme of the 2021 RTS Convention is ‘Broadcast Britain: Reshaping Britishness on the global stage.’

RTS CEO Theresa Wise told Television Business International:

“After such a challenging and distanced 18 months for the industry, we are thrilled to be bringing everyone together in Cambridge to hear from leading global executives on the future of British broadcasting.”

This convention will be held on September 15 and 16.
