Saskatchewan has a reputation for growing world-class grains, and a Saskatoon workshop will put them to use in an event that explores the art of wheat weaving.
The Western Development Museum offers a variety of learning opportunities, and its Wheat Weaving session will teach the basics of the craft. The learners will also discover the history of the skill, and it will be for adults only.
The instructor for the workshop will offer instruction in the steps to get started with wheat weaving, and soaking techniques will be included. The participants can ask questions, and while they work, they will be able to socialize and have fun with the other students. Before they head for home, each participant will receive a booklet that offers a variety of sample designs and tips, as well as some extra wheat stalks, so they will be able to enjoy creating even after the function has drawn to a close.
Offering the participants in this sort of crafting activity learning materials they can take home will make it easier for them to continue their creativity once the session is over. Brochure printing services can be used to create promotional materials for an event like this.
The Western Development Museum will be offering it Wheat Weaving class on August 28th. It is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
