Saskatoon’s pet parents who want to protect their companion from canine parvovirus can learn how to do so during a workshop that will be by veterinary care experts.
The Western College of Veterinary Medicine will offer members of the public the chance to attend a free information session focused on the virus that impacts dogs, and there are both in-person and virtual attendance options available. It will take place in the evening, and will run for one hour.
Dr. Elisabeth (Liz) Snead, who is both a professor and expert in the field of small/animal internal medicine, will lead the discussion. Everyone will learn how the parvovirus is highly contagious and quite serious, and also how young puppies that have not yet been vaccinated are at a high risk.
Events where attendees are educated on a particular topic may not have enough time for all the relevant information to be shared. Packets that contain materials prepared by a brochure printing company, can be distributed so they can keep on learning even after an activity has drawn to a close, and are sometimes paired with promotional Pens.
The ‘Canine parvovirus: a preventable canine killer’ information session will begin at 7:00 pm on Wednesday August 26th. It will be held at Room 2115 at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in Saskatoon. Its Eventbrite listing offers both in person and virtual attendance details.
