Long before the 2005 version, Gene Wilder brought the character of “Willy Wonka” to life on the big screen, and he will star in a free Saskatoon screening of the 1971 film that featured this eccentric character.
Originally a novel by Roald Dahl, the movie “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory” will be shown during a complimentary matinee showing. The organizers wish to thank Procido LLP for bringing this event to the public, and tickets will be available, first come, first served.
The movie may appeal to kids as well as adults who may remember seeing it when they were young, and it includes a musical score. It has a run time time of 100 minutes. Its rating on Rotten Tomatoes is quite high, and it is being screened as part of the “I Don’t Wanna Grow Up” family film series. The curtain is set to go up at 2:00 pm on its scheduled date.
