Saskatoon takes a trip back in time for Autism fundraiser

Gatsby Night for Autism is taking place in Saskatoon this January. Proceeds from the event will benefit Autism Services of Saskatoon.

The event will combine a 1930s era dance party. Guests are encouraged to come in costume of the time but it is not mandatory. Those who attend will enjoy a cocktail reception with tasty hors d'oeuvres, live and silent auctions and can play various games to win prizes. There will also be dancing to the music of the Toon Town Big Band. This should be a fun way to raise money for a very worthwhile organization. Local companies may also help by providing auction prizes.

According to Autism Services of Saskatoon 1 in 88 children will be diagnosed with some form of the disorder. The organization provides programs for those affected, their parents and their siblings. They provide such activities as swimming, social groups and art therapy.

A colorful flyer has been produced for this year's event and have no doubt been distributed throughout the city of Saskatoon. When a flyer is needed to advertise an upcoming charity event, local printing companies are often asked to help design it and to Print it out.

Gatsby Night for Autism will be held at Boom Town in the Western Development Museum on February 1 from 7:00 - 11:00 PM. Tickets are $75 each and only 300 will be sold. To find out more about the event, call 306-665-7013 x0.
