One feature of Saskatoon winters is that they are icy cold, and international students who are new to the University of Saskatchewan have been offered a chance to prepare for the frigid days ahead.
The school’s International Student and Study Abroad Centre has set aside a day that will help newly arrived students get kitted out for the cold. Transportation will be included, and it is free to reserve a seat.
The registrants for the afternoon will be driven to the Preston Crossing Shopping Centre, and here, they will be able to buy warm winter clothing, Outerwear such as gloves, hats and scarves, and an assortment of other items. Household goods may also be purchased and, as there is only a limited amount of room on the bus for the passengers and their purchases, everyone has been asked to avoid buying bulky items that take up a lot of space.
Starting classes in a new country may feel overwhelming for an international student, and campus events may help them to get accustomed to their new home. Flyer printing services will be available to produce advertising materials for such classes.
The International Student and Study Abroad Centre at the University of Saskatchewan has planned its Winter Shopping Trip for the afternoon of January 5th. Places can be booked online.Get a Free Quote for Outerwear
