Families in Saskatoon that enjoy spending time exploring the great outdoors are invited to register for an upcoming workshop that will teach them what to do during a wilderness emergency.
This event, which is intended for parents and kids to attend together, will offer a non-threatening introduction to first aid and other survival basics. It will be a full day learning activity, and it will be held in Meewasin Park.
The group will be led through an assortment of exercises and other learning, and each registrant is asked to bring a day pack stocked with extra-long-sleeved shirts, snacks, lunch and water, as well as a camp chair, bug spray and sunscreen.
The registration process can be completed by contacting the organizers via email, and it has been noted that there are only a limited number of spaces available for booking.
While this sort of activity may offer hands-on, in-person learning, the participants may still appreciate receiving a manual, so they keep on making discoveries on their own. A printing services company can prepare these sorts of materials.
Back40 Wilderness First Aid Training has made plans to host the Parents & Kids Trail Aid Basics event on July 19th. It will begin at 9:30 am, and it will wrap up at 4:30 pm on the same day. Those interested can visit its Stay Happening listing for more information.
