This summer will see the 20th anniversary edition of one of Woodstock’s biggest summer festivals, as Cowapalooza combines music with popular summer activities.
The two-day festival will kick off with “Cowapalooza Classics” night, inviting attendees to travel back in time with a display of classic cars and live music from tribute acts playing hits, including Blue Suede Elvis Tribute Band and Elton Rohn. The following afternoon will be Cowapalooza Kids, with performers and activities aimed at a young audience. The final night of the festival will include a performance by Canadian rock legends the Sam Roberts Band, with Toronto group Ferraro playing as their chief support.
The festival grounds will also include a marketplace full of food and other vendors. Attendees can sample treats from Funnel Cake Factory, My Big Fat Food Truck, The Crumby Cookie Dough Company, and more. Other local vendors include Blush Jewels Handmade Jewelry, Freehand Henna temporary tattoos, and A-Designs Ornament Co. Local festivals and markets are a popular way to encounter new things, with vendors often using banner printing and visually appealing Signs to stand out from the crowd.
The 2023 Cowapalooza will take place at Southside Park in Woodstock on August 18 and 19. The city will be running a shuttle bus between the event grounds and Civic Centre Arena, where parking is available.
