After a successful debut last year, the City of Woodstock will be hosting the sophomore edition of Fall Fest this October.
The seasonal event looks to combine Halloween and autumn themes to present a family-friendly experience. Individuals and organizations can enter the Pumpkin Carving Contest, creating their own unique image on Halloween jack-o’-lanterns. The pumpkins will be displayed at Far Fest and visitors can vote for their favourite. Businesses often use events like this along with tools like flyer printing as grassroots methods to connect with the community.
Keeping with the Halloween theme, the Fest will include a Trunk or Treat event. Participants can decorate their car trunk with Halloween or autumn themes, with treats on offer from Giant Tiger. The Downtown Woodstock BIA and Why Not Us will be holding a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, with divisions for elementary school, high school, and adult players.
Fall Fest will also include a full schedule of on-stage entertainment, including Halloween trivia, a participatory lesson from Dance in Style Studio, and the Ricky Magic Show. Local dog lovers participate in the HOWL-O-Ween Dog Parade, dressing their furry friends up in costume and walking them around Museum Square. Best Costume and Fan Favourite will be up for prizes.
The 2026 Fall Fest will take place on the afternoon of October 3 at Museum Square in Woodstock.
