Woodstock residents will now have a chance to support their local food producers and other area artisans.
The Downtown Woodstock Farmers’ Market is up and running again for another year. It will take place at Museum Square each Thursday until October 8th, and will run from noon until six.
According to the manager of the city’s Business Improvement Area, many of the vendors who took part last year have decided to come back, and there will also be new ones present.
The public will be able to purchase everything from fresh baked goods to produce, maple syrup, crafted items, and even metalwork and minerals. A Stationery printer can produce all of the items that any of the local growers, chefs or artisans may need to sell their wares.
To help mark this year’s grand opening, the market assisted in the celebration of National Police Week. The OPP, Windsor Police Services and the RCMP all had displays to raise awareness about police services, and there were also several law enforcement vehicles on hand for the public to view.
Along with the police, Tourism Oxford gave a demonstration to promote their new website and Woodstock Hydro brought out its Sunny Side Up trailer to provide information about energy conservation and alternative energy sources that the people can use to reduce their consumption.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
