The Small Business Centre in Woodstock, Ontario is holding a series of events looking to take the typical business networking mixer to the next level.
Called ‘Networking with Purpose’, these events look to add structure to the typical mingling. Each event will feature brainstorming sessions where entrepreneurs can share their ideas, successes, and failures. There will also be a ‘speed networking’ section where participants will move quickly from group to group, looking to make as many new connections as possible.
The goal is to assist new business owners, who may have difficulty with both getting their dream off the ground and forging connections in more traditional environments.
The next of these events will take place in January, with the special theme of ‘Being Creative’. The aim is to come up with ways in which businesses can make use of the new space opened up at the Small Business Centre. Whatever the topic or structure, however, the usual networking tools – Business Cards and promotional Pens – will still be undoubtedly useful.
The January edition of Networking with Purpose will take place at Engage Oxford, the former Dairy Capital building, on January 29. The Small Business Centre is an organization that provides training, mentorship, and funding to upstart businesses in Woodstock and Oxford County, in partnership with the government of Ontario.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Pens
