Woodstock Art Gallery to rebrand

The Woodstock Art Gallery is seeking a new logo and look for next year, as it has announced it is undergoing a rebranding campaign.

The campaign will be open to submissions from professional graphic designers from across Canada. A committee will select three designers out of the portfolios submitted, each of whom will be provided a $1000 stipend to create their concept for a new Logo Design for the gallery.

The institution will showcase the three proposed designs this spring and invite feedback from the public. The winning logo will be incorporated into a larger rebranding for the gallery, including Business Cards, Letterheads and other promotional material.

The rebranding comes in the wake of the gallery’s 50th anniversary in 2016, prompting the institution to create a new design to move forward. Mary Reid, the director and curator of the gallery, expressed the importance of the search:

“The Woodstock Art Gallery has enriched our city and region by inspiring participation in the visual arts. It is important that we continue to reflect our critical role in the community as we carry out our mission to provide opportunities for people to express, experience and learn creatively through art.”

The Woodstock Art Gallery’s call for logo submissions will be open until November 13. The gallery aims to complete the rebranding by November 2021.
