The 2024 edition of the event will be themed after the classic story of Alice in Wonderland. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes themed after the Alice story or the Victorian era, or to otherwise dress formally. The gala will include a dinner and dance, as well as live and silent auctions. Auction items and door prizes are contributed from the local business and artistic community. The event will run until midnight, allowing plenty of time for attendees to dance and talk the night away.
All funds raised will go to benefit the Tillsonburg Station Arts Centre. The cultural organization promotes artistic learning throughout the Woodstock area and beyond, through operating art galleries, classes, an artisan gift shop, and a pottery studio. The centre is also involved with Tillsonburg’s Saturday Farmers Market.
Cultural organizations like this often rely on fundraisers like “Down the Rabbit Hole” to support their programming, using tools such as poster printing and social media to attract attendees. The centre describes their vision as:
“To provide programs, opportunities and experiences that are diverse, inclusive and readily available to all ages. We strive to provide a creative environment that is inclusive, progressive, friendly and informative.”
“Down the Rabbit Hole” will take place at the Lions Auditorium in Tillsonburg on the evening of October 5.
