The Transitions horse ranch will be holding its Thunderfest event in the Woodstock area this July, raising money for a local charity.
The event will feature a festival area with a vendor market, food and drink, and family activities such as hands-on interactions with the ranch’s horses and bounce houses. Vendors confirmed for the event include Gentle Love Soap Company, The Garden in Harrington, and Willow & Birch Candle Co. There will be live entertainment provided by Jack Redman, Uncle G, and Greg Szabo, as well as educational events such as pottery workshops during the day.
At night, the hoedown begins in earnest with country-style line dancing, including instructions from The Urban Cowboy, and a performance by CMA nominee Jessie T. Visitors can take a memento at the Petals 2 Posh Photo Booth.
Proceeds from Thunderfest will go towards the Oxford HART (Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment) Hub Initiative, a newly created organization that aims to provide outreach services to people experiencing homelessness in Oxford County, including Woodstock, Tilsonburg, and other cities and towns. The festival also celebrates the 40th anniversary of Transitions owner Alisha, whose horse Thunder provides the name for the event. Festivals such as this commonly use methods like poster printing and social media to help attract attendees.
Thunderfest 2025 will take place at Transitions ranch in Tavistock on July 12.
