The 32nd annual Woodstock Woodworking Show is taking place in the city, beginning at the end of September.
This is the oldest consumer woodworking show in all of Canada. It is aimed at both professionals and hobbyists. Guests will have the opportunity to see the latest woodworking tools, learn about design trends and pick up their own wood kits. There will be seminars led by Rob Cosman, Vic Tesolin and Laney Shaughnessy among others. Some topics will be hand tool essentials, how to saw dovetails and working on a bench.
Vendors will be on hand to sell related items and several exhibitors will be showing off their finished works.
Special guests at the show will include the Carver Kings from HGTV. The Ontario Woodworking Championship will also be taking place and is open for the public to view. In addition, the Woodstock Car Show and Shop will be taking place on the last day of the show. Ticket holders will have access to both shows.
Poster printing firms in Woodstock are often asked to create advertising materials for shows like this.
The Woodstock Woodworking Show will be held at the Woodstock Fairgrounds from September 29 to October 1. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door; a weekend pass is $15. To learn more, call Gina Downes on 905-779-0422.
