Friends and family of those living with Parkinson’s disease, as well as anyone else who wants to help support the cause, are invited to take part in the upcoming Woodstock Parkinson SuperWalk.
The event will take place at Southgate Centre, which is located at 191 Old Wellington road in Woodstock. Registration for the function starts at 1:00 pm. It is one of twelve locations throughout southern Ontario that will be hosting a walk, which is also taking place in communities across the country. A Print company can create all the printed materials needed for the walk, such as Banners, signage, registration Forms, nametags and bibs, plus a whole lot more.
Money raised during the event will be used to help fund research into finding a cure and treatments for the disease, as well as to provide support for those who are currently affected by it, as well as their families and caregivers.
The Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario noted that many companies offer their employees a matching gift program, where they will match charitable donations made by their staff. They are asking those who take part to see if their employers do so, as this could help to increase the amount they are able to raise.
This is the 25th year that the event has been held, and it is the largest fundraising event held on a national level. The Woodstock walk will take place on September 20th.
