Woodstock’s annual Outdoor Farm Show typically draws thousands of spectators, but this year it has swapped out the in-person exhibition for an online show.
The 27th Outdoor Farm Show, and the first to be held this way, will look to maintain the interactive nature of showgoers’ typical experience. The online stream will feature equipment demonstrations, crop plot tours, and an exhibitor showcase demonstrating everything from tractors to the latest in dairy and livestock automation.
Viewers will be able to chat live with the exhibitors, and potentially make connections. Like any trade show, agricultural events often feature the trading of Business Cards and contact information, making them an important part of a farmer’s year.
The Outdoor Farm Show is also expanding its Innovations Showcase series, which for the past few years has offered multiple streams of panels and keynote speeches. This year’s edition will include the category of Digital Innovations, joining Equipment, Livestock, Crop and Agri-business Service. Organizers hope that the digital format means that the event’s reach can stretch beyond Woodstock and southern Ontario to include farmers and agricultural experts from Eastern Canada, the United States and beyond.
The 2020 edition of the Outdoor Farm Show will take place between September 15 and 18. Registration is free and comes with entry into the “Flip & Win with Farmtario” draw.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
