New format Taste of Art to return to Woodstock

The Woodstock Art Gallery will be holding its annual Taste of Art fundraiser this winter, with a new twist.

The new format, called Taste of Art Selects, will provide donors to the gallery with credits to participating restaurants that can be redeemed for a dine-in meal throughout the month of February. Participating eateries include Finkle St. Tap & Grill, Charles Dickens Pub, and Ironworks Kitchen. Instead of a traditional food tasting, the program is designed to lend support to other local businesses while also benefiting the gallery, as well as providing greater flexibility as to where and when donors can enjoy their dinner.

A Taste of Art Ticket also includes entry for two to a drop-in night at the Woodstock Art Gallery. Participants will be able to enjoy a special activity as well as touring the gallery’s Winter 2023 exhibitions. The gallery is set to rotate in a new set of exhibitions in late January, which will include a mixture of work from the gallery’s permanent collection arranged in new ways as well as new acquisitions and work on loan from other galleries. Art galleries often use events such as this, alongside tools such as brochure printing and social media, to both drive donations and encourage people to see the artwork.

The Taste of Art Selects fundraiser will run throughout February 2023 at participating restaurants, with the gallery’s drop-in nights occurring on the evenings of February 15 and 22.
