One of Woodstock’s longest-running traditions will return this September, as Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will take place with a week of educational and commemorative events.
For farmers and others in the agricultural industry, the event is an opportunity to see the latest developments and pick up new skills, with equipment demonstrations ranging from classic tools to modern drones, sample crop plots grown under different conditions, and the Livestock Central area focused on raising animals. The show will include a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program, which helps people develop their farming skills as well as leadership abilities.
There are also a number of special events scheduled throughout the show, with a variety of settings for networking and skill sharing. The potential for business connections at agricultural shows like this makes business card printing as much a part of farming as tilling the soil. The event typically attracts over 40,000 farmers and industry experts. Featured exhibitors this year include Agriculture Wellness Ontario, Farmoury Consignments and Brokerage, and Ontario Mutual Insurance Association, with dozens of others across the show floor. The annual event also includes the giving of the L. B. Thomson Award, given to efforts towards soil conservation in Canada.
The 2024 edition of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will take place from September 10 to 12 in Woodstock.
