The City of Woodstock wants to know what you envision for the former Woodstock Hospital lands. The hospital has relocated to a new site at 310 Juliana Drive. As a result, the former hospital buildings are no longer used or needed by the hospital.
An optimal use study is currently underway to determine the best options. The former lands consist of two parcels, a 1.9 acre site west of Riddell Street surrounded by residences, and a 6.4 acre site that takes up a whole city block, bounded by Vincent Street in the north, Wellington Street in the east, Brant Street in the south, and Riddell Street in the west.
A Public Information Session, hosted by Infrastructure Ontario and the Woodstock Hospital Trust, will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 6:30pm, to review the results of the study prepared by planning consultants, MHBC Planning. A draft Preferred Development Concept will be presented and participants can voice any concerns, opinions or ideas at the public meeting to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on 576 Brant Street.

The city will not process any land use applications until the optimal use study is finalized. The public meeting offers the chance to have your voice be heard and to make an impact on such an important piece of real estate in Woodstock.
