Festival celebrates Woodstock's dairy industry

Cow.a.palooza 2015 is taking place over two days this August in Woodstock.

The festival of all things bovine is planned to have lots of family-friendly activities, including a soapbox derby, a cow milking contest, and a strongman and woman competition. There will also be buskers, professional wrestling demonstrations, and carnival rides.

Two concerts are also taking place, which will feature artists like the Sexy Ole Dawgs, Leah Daniels and a tribute to Abba and the Bee Gees.

Vendor spaces are still available. Arts and crafts, and commercial vendor spaces cost $115 for a 10 x 15 booth, while those interested must register before August 8th. To be a food vendor costs are $300 and applications are due before August 9th.

There are also sponsorships available and organizers are still looking for volunteers to help with the running of the festival. Meanwhile, visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Salvation Army.

It is likely that many of the vendors taking part will be contacting their favorite Woodstock printer to invest in services like sign or banner printing. This will make their booths stand out from the others.

Cow.a.palooza is being held at Southside Park on August 14th from 5:00pm to 11:00pm, and on August 15th from noon until 11:00pm. Admission is free of charge. To find out more information or to become a vendor, sponsor or volunteer, contact Brad Janssen at 519-539-2382 x4102.
