After a successful first installment, the Villages of Sally Creek Charity Car Show will be returning this June to Woodstock’s Sally Creek area.
The event will showcase vintage and custom cars from a variety of eras. The top 10 best preserved and best looking vehicles will receive awards. There will also be door prizes for spectators, family-friendly games and activities, and food and drink trucks on the premises. A DJ will be providing live music throughout the day.
All proceeds from the event will go towards Domestic Abuse Services Oxford, which helps provide support to women and children in need. The event was started by car enthusiast and Sally Creek resident Larry Oliver, whose 1955 Chevrolet Coupe is a common sight at other local shows.
The first event, hosted in 2024, featured local cars as well as a silent auction with prizes donated from local businesses like Libro, Brickhouse Brewpub and Picard’s. The second event is aiming to be bigger and better. Charitable events like this often use methods like flyer printing and local radio advertising to help draw participants and explain the cause. Oliver has also encouraged people who cannot attend to donate.
The 2025 edition of the Villages of Sally Creek Charity Car Show will take place on June 21 at the Sally Creek Community Centre, with free admission to spectators.
