Big Car Show to return to Woodstock

A charitable car show will be returning to Woodstock this September, as the Big Car Show marks its 17th edition.

The event invites local vehicle owners to shine up and show off their cars, with a particular emphasis on classic cars, modified rigs, and unusual finds. Awards will be given for Owner’s Choice and Little’s Choice, with the latter voted on by children in attendance, and there will also be a prize draw for participating vehicle owners.

The first 100 vehicles will receive a grab bag and dash plaque. Promotional Products are often used at events like this to encourage participation. Attendance is free for visitors, with a $10 registration for car owners.

The Big Car Show will also include the return of the Kidstock Kid Zone, which includes games and activities aimed at young visitors, including a “touch-a-truck” display. The event will be raising funds for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization in Oxford County. Money raised will go towards providing mentoring experiences for children in need. The show will also feature live music and entertainment, costumed superheroes and real local heroes, including members of the fire and emergency medical service departments.

The 2022 instalment of the Big Car Show will take place on the morning of September 25 in the parking lot of Canadian Tire Woodstock. In the event of rain, there will be a back-up date of October 2.
