Annual street festival helps celebrate summer in Woodstock

The Woodstock Summer Streetfest is taking place next month over two days. It is a presentation of the Woodstock Business Improvement Association.

For two days, Dundas Street will be taken over by entertainment tents, vendors and a beer garden hosted by Woodstock Navy Vets. There will be three tents in all that will feature musical entertainment from the likes of Crystal Shawanda, Jack Dekeyzer and Genevieve Fisher. There will also be entertainment provided by the Dance in Style Studio, Hands on Exotics, and many other local groups.

There will also be giant Lego blocks to play with, a Spider-Man’s birthday bash, hula hoopers, bouncy castles, an ostrich rider, and many other street performers.

While it is not officially a part of the festival, the Street Fest Cruise will be taking place on August 12 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Classic car owners are encouraged to register to take this cruise down Dundas Street. Registration is $10 and the first 300 will receive a T-shirt and gift. Proceeds will be donated to the South Gate Center. Participants will also be treated to a beef barbeque, prizes and a 50/50 draw, as well as music provided by a DJ.

Woodstock flyer printing firms often help advertise annual events such as this one.

The Woodstock Summer Streetfest will be held on Dundas Street from August 10 to 11 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day. Admission is free. Call 519-537-5721 for more information.
