Annual fair provides information on local resources

The 14th annual Recreation and Leisure Fair is taking place next month in Woodstock. It is presented by the Woodstock Recreation Advisory Committee.

The fair is for those who wish to learn about all of the sports and leisure opportunities available in Woodstock. A wide variety of organizations will be on hand to provide information to the public. Among those who will be attending the fair this year are the Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department, the Woodstock Soccer Club and Theatre Woodstock, Camp Celtic. St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs are also expected to be in attendance.

Organizers are still accepting applications for exhibitors. Fees are $50 for general businesses and $25 for non-profit organizations. They are given a 6 x 4-foot space and are asked to donate an item to the door prizes that will be handed out over the course of the afternoon. In addition, exhibitors have the opportunity to give a 15-minute demonstration.

It is likely that many of the organizations that will be showcasing their programs at the fair will be investing in Banners or Signs from Woodstock printing companies to bring more attention to their booths.

The Recreation and Leisure Fair will be held on March 4 at Reeves Community Hall in Cowan Park. Admission is free of charge. For more information, or to become an exhibitor, call 519-539-2382.
