Online tax prep classes planned for Mississauga

An upcoming Mississauga learning opportunity may take some of the sting out of filing taxes for those who attend.

The Canada Revenue Agency has prepared several workshops that may help take some of the headache out of the tax season, and there are options on offer for everyone, from retirees to new Canadians. With the exception of the instalment planned for seniors, the sessions are open to all those aged 13 and over.

These online sessions will introduce the basics of filling out tax Forms, including the various credits, benefits and other ways of lowering the amount to be paid. The “Doing Your Taxes” session is intended for new filers, as well as anyone who needs a refresher, while “Tax Basics for Retirees” includes tips for avoiding scams. “Canadian Tax Basics for Newcomers” will explain how the system works and how to report income. The classes are all available for free.

Anyone who is interested in taking advantage of this learning opportunity is welcome to register now. A flyer printing company can prove to be a helpful partner in spreading the word to the public about an upcoming activity like these workshops.

The first of these tax information workshops has been scheduled for March 22nd, and the others will be held on March 23rd, 24th and April 13th, respectively.
