When it comes to finding potential careers, the Mississauga community has unique opportunities within the aviation industry.
Porter Airlines is a North American airline focused on short-haul flights, and it will be hosting the upcoming Careers in Aviation Expo. The expo is a bi-annual program in different regions of Canada. It is designed to inspire and connect young professionals, graduating students and aspiring aviators with aviation organizations, companies and schools so they can take the next step in their careers.
The expo also will host a range of presentations for aviation industry leaders who will discuss the opportunities and challenges with different career options within the aviation industry. Attendees will also be able to sign up for breakout sessions led by a dedicated mentor to learn more about specific aviation career opportunities; some of the session mentors include pilots, military personnel, airline operators and aerospace engineers.
Career-focused events often utilize brochure printing to provide detailed breakdowns of the different careers highlighted at the event and the steps attendees may need to take to enter that career.
The Careers in Aviation Expo will take place at the Porter Airlines Hangar, located at 6085 Midfield Road Bay 3 Mississauga, on May 31, from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Additional expo information can be found on the event website, and attendees can register for breakout sessions after purchasing their tickets. Breakout sessions have limited spaces and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
