Mississauga tours to explore community's past

The Streetsville area of Mississauga has a storied past, and a walking tour that will take to its sidewalks this spring, summer and autumn will be returning for 2023.

The neighbourhood has more historic buildings than anywhere else in the local area, and these tours will introduce them to locals and visitors alike. They run for approximately one and a half hours, and there is no fee to attend.

The first walk will take place in mid-May, and the tours will be offered on various dates from then until mid-October. Advance registration is not needed, and the tours will all depart from the clock in the Village Square located at Main Street and Queen Street South. Comfortable walking shoes, a bottle of water or another beverage and cameras are all highly recommended. Everyone will be encouraged to ask questions, and the facilitator will be happy to answer.

Walking tours and other outdoor activities can help community members and visitors learn more about a neighbourhood's past. A flyer printing company can be an economical and effective source for marketing materials for such events.

These easy and fun introductions to Streetsville’s historic homes and other buildings will be offered starting on May 13th. After this, they will run on dates up until October 18th, and The Village of Streetsville website provides more information for anyone interested.
